Challenge

Our client is a subsidiary of a world-leading supplier of automated entrance solutions. Its extensive product portfolio reaches a global customer base in 75 countries and is the UK’s largest lock group.
Following on from the acquisition of another subsidiary, the decision was made to merge the two companies and leverage the synergies between the two. The overall objective of the merger was to create a single business operating under a single brand with a single product and service portfolio.
We were the chosen partner to lead the change programme and ensure the smooth merger of the companies.

Approach

Working alongside senior management teams from the two subsidiaries, we formed a small team and started work on the programme.
Our consultants conducted an infrastructure review, planned and managed the migration of data into a common finance, customer and order management system.
We developed a staff communications plan and supported our clients in the consultation process with the affected employees. We also created a new organisational structure and managed the physical relocation of staff.
